Georg Wolff has a doctorate in American history and works at the Heidelberg Academy's administrative office; Academy member Manfred Berg is a professor of American history at Heidelberg University and is known to a wider audience through his contributions to ZEIT, ZEIT Geschichte, and ARD-Brennpunkt.
