Prize , made possible by Manfred Lautenschläger through his foundation, specifically Prize the humanities and cultural studies, whose role as disciplines that provide guidance for our present day he emphasizes through his focus on history, society, and culture. It is intended to serve as both a “recognition” and a “driving force” for young researchers.
The Prize worth 10,000 euros and will be awarded for the first time in 2022.
Who can be nominated?
Authors nominated for the award must not be older than 35 years of age on the submission deadline date. The nominated works must have been accepted as scientific achievements by a university or research institute in the state of Baden-Württemberg and must have been published or submitted for publication in the past two years. The prize cannot be shared between several people.
Who is allowed to make suggestions?
- all members of the Philosophy and History Section of the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities
- the management of all academic institutions at universities in Baden-Württemberg (rectorates, deaneries, executive directors, institute management)
- the management of all non-university research institutions in Baden-Württemberg (executive directors)
- Unsolicited applications are not accepted.
