Exceptional achievement deserves recognition. That is why the State Academy of Baden-Württemberg, the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, awards annual science prizes for outstanding scientific achievements in both the natural sciences and the humanities.
 

The awards are intended for early-career researchers and are given for work conducted at a research institution in Baden-Württemberg. Each award is endowed with €10,000.

The awards will Academy of Sciences and Humanities during the 2026 annual ceremony of the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities . Upon receiving the award, the recipients will also become members of the Academy’s Young Academy | HAdW for a period of five years.
Eligible to submit nominations are members of the Academy as well as senior administrators of all academic institutions at universities and all non-university research institutes in the state of Baden-Württemberg. Self-nominations are not permitted.
