Klaus Blaum Receives the 2026 Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Award
Physicist Prof. Dr. Klaus Blaum is receiving the award from the DFG for his work on physical constants and symmetries in nature, which is based on precision measurements using ions in electromagnetic traps.

Stefan M. Maul is “College Professor of the Year”
Assyriologist Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Stefan Maul is receiving the award from the German Association of University Professors and Lecturers (DHV). Since 2019, he has been leading the excavation of ancient Nineveh, the former capital of the Assyrian Empire (in present-day Iraq).

Public Peripatetic Meeting in Karlsruhe (KIT)
On October 25, the external meeting was held at KIT in Karlsruhe. Jörg Schmalian gave a presentation on "Quantum Entanglement in Quantum Materials."
