Dr. Suey-Ling Tsai studied art history and ethnology at the University of Heidelberg. Her dissertation was published under the title *The Life of the Buddha—Woodblock Illustrated Books in China and Korea* (Harrassowitz, 2012). In addition, she has published essays on sites with Buddhist stone inscriptions in China, as well as articles in exhibition catalogs. since , she has been working as a research associate at the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities project “Buddhist Stone Inscriptions in Northern China.”
