Illustrated Dictionary of Classical Mythology (LIMC)

A comprehensive catalog of mythological motifs in all forms of ancient visual art, from the Greek Geometric period to approximately 400 CE, serving as a resource for the study of mythology, religious studies, art history, and literary studies. Publication of the Lexicon Iconographicum Mythologiae Classicae (LIMC), a handbook of mythology in the visual arts of Greece, the Roman Empire, and neighboring cultures.
Bibliography
The encyclopedia has been published in a total of eight two-volume sets (each consisting of a text volume and an illustrated volume) and one index volume.
