Exceptional achievement deserves recognition. That is why the State Academy of Baden-Württemberg, the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences, awards science prizes every year for outstanding scientific achievements in both the natural sciences and the humanities.
 

The prizes are aimed at early career researchers and are awarded for work carried out at a research institution in Baden-Württemberg. They are each endowed with €10,000.

The prizes will be awarded during the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences' annual celebration in 2026. Upon receiving the prize, the winners will also become members of the Academy College of the Young Academy | HAdW for five years.
Members of the Academy and heads of all scientific institutions at universities and all non-university research institutes in the state of Baden-Württemberg are eligible to submit nominations. Self-nominations are not possible.
