Stuttgart cybernetics (represented by Prof. Frank Allgöwer, among others) combines systems theory, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics. It provides the theoretical foundation for enabling autonomous machines to operate in complex environments in a way that is adaptive, safe, and dynamic—a key building block for the future of industry, medicine, and mobility.

As part of the off-site meeting, which takes place each year in cooperation with a different state university, Academy member Frank Allgöwer will give a public lecture in Stuttgart.

Frank Allgöwer is the director of the Institute for Systems Theory and Control Engineering at the University of Stuttgart.
