Hector Foundation Prize
The prize, donated by the Hector Foundation(external link), is aimed at young researchers in the field of computer science. It is intended to encourage young scientists in their research and recognize outstanding scientific achievements. The prize is awarded annually.
The prize is endowed with €10,000 and was awarded for the first time in 2023.
Who can be nominated?
Candidates nominated for the award should have obtained their doctorate no more than five years prior to the award ceremony. The work on which the nomination is based should have been published or submitted for publication within the past two years. The award cannot be divided among several nominated works. However, if several candidates have contributed equally to a work, the award may be divided equally among them.
Who is allowed to make suggestions?
- all members of the mathematics and science class
- all departments of scientific institutions at universities
- all departments of non-university research institutes in the state of Baden-Württemberg
- Self-nominations are not permitted.
