Andreas Deutsch
Curriculum Vitae
Born in 1970 in Schwäbisch Hall. Studied law in Heidelberg and Münster (Westphalia). Passed the first state law examination in Heidelberg in 1995. Studied comparative law at the Institut de Droit Comparé in Paris in 1995–96. Subsequently completed a legal clerkship and passed the second state law examination in Baden-Württemberg. From late 1998, research assistant at the chair of Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. A. Laufs at the Institute for Historical Jurisprudence at Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg. Completed his doctorate in late 2002, thesis topic: “The Klagspiegel and its Author Conrad Heyden – A 15th-Century Legal Treatise as a Pioneer of the Reception of Roman Law in Germany,” awarded thePrize .” Subsequently, research assistant at the chair of Professor Dr. A. Cordes, M.A., at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt (Main). Lectureships at the universities of Heidelberg and Frankfurt (Main). Since September 2007, director of the Research Center for the German Legal Dictionary; since 2016, honorary professor at the Faculty of Law of Heidelberg University.
