Who is allowed to make suggestions?

Vorschlagsberechtigt sind in der Regel die Mitglieder der Akademie sowie Leitungspersonen aller wissenschaftlicher Einrichtungen der Universitäten und aller außeruniversitären Forschungsinstitute des Landes Baden-Württemberg. Eigenbewerbungen sind nicht möglich. Genaue Informationen zu den Nominierungsbedingungen entnehmen Sie bitte den Seiten des jeweiligen Preises.

Für das Jahr 2025 wird der Preis von der Philosophisch-Historischen Klasse ausgeschrieben.

Who can be nominated?

Der Preis wird für wissenschaftliche Arbeiten verliehen, die von jungen Forscherinnen und Forschern in Deutschland veröffentlicht worden oder abgeschlossen und veröffentlichungsreif sind. Die Arbeit soll nicht länger als drei Jahre vor Beginn des Jahres, in dem die Preisverleihung stattfindet, abgeschlossen worden sein; die Nominierten sollten zu diesem Zeitpunkt das 40. Lebensjahr nicht überschritten haben. In besonderen Fällen, die der Begründung bedürfen, kann von diesen Beschränkungen abgewichen werden. Der Preis kann geteilt werden, wenn an der Arbeit mehrere Verfassende mitgewirkt haben; er kann jedoch nicht auf mehrere selbständige Arbeiten aufgeteilt werden.

Who can be nominated?

Candidates nominated for the award should have obtained their doctorate no more than five years prior to the award ceremony. The work on which the nomination is based should have been published or submitted for publication within the past two years. The award cannot be divided among several nominated works. However, if several candidates have contributed equally to a work, the award may be divided equally among them.

Der Hector Stiftung Preis richtet sich den Fachbereich Informatik.

Who can be nominated?

The award is given to particularly qualified young scientists who are completing their postdoctoral qualifications in the humanities or who head a research group in the natural sciences and engineering and are generally preparing for a professorship. The award particularly honors young scientists who build bridges between different scientific cultures. Previous scientific achievements are evaluated in the assessment process.

The people nominated for the award should not be older than 40 years of age. If several candidates have contributed equally to the work, the award may be shared equally among them.
